At Saby Cobbs School of Arts, students are trained through a practical, hands-on approach that combines classroom instruction with real garment production experience. From the first stage, learners are guided step-by-step in pattern drafting, fabric cutting, sewing techniques, and finishing, ensuring they understand both the theory and application of fashion design.
Training is highly practical, with students working on real projects such as custom, bespoke, and ready-to-wear garments. They are taught industry standards in measurement taking, fabric selection, construction techniques, and quality finishing. In addition, students participate in supervised production sessions where they learn speed, accuracy, and consistency.
As they progress, learners are introduced to advanced techniques, design development, and creative innovation, allowing them to transform ideas into professional collections. They also gain exposure through industrial attachment, where they experience real workplace environments and client interactions.
